I recently graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Tufts University with a B.S. in mathematics and a minor in cognitive science, where I was fortunate to be advised by Dr. Samantha Petti. I was jointly mentored by Dr. Petti and Dr. Michael Levin throughout a senior honors thesis on goal-directedness in emergent patterns. I spent a year at Pembroke College, Oxford, reading mathematics and philosophy.
My primary interests are in graph and information theory, particularly their application to self-organizing systems, goal-directedness, robustness, and regeneration. I hope to apply these principles to the domains of artificial life, mechanism design, and democratic governance.
